Las Vegas-Nevada(rushprnews) 12/08/2006 - Bigger Than Life Entertainment’s CEO E. Jay Matthews unveils plans for All-Star 2007 Vegas Weekend and it is going to be unbelievable! For the first time in the 56-year history of the NBA All Star game, the event will be held in the west coast nightlife & entertainment mecca - Las Vegas, Nevada. Thursday February 15^th through Sunday February 18^th 2007, BTL All-Star 2007 Weekend hosted by NBA Superstar Philadelphia 76er’s Allen Iverson, will consist of a spectacular series of A-list celebrity events including:

·         The Official Red Carpet Kick Off (Invitation Only)

·         Model of Excellence Awards - Tribute to Bob Johnson (Invitation Only)

·         Street Ball on The Strip Basketball Game at Caesers Palace, Las Vegas

·         All-Star 2007 Vegas Game & Allen Iverson Wrap Party

- Allen Iverson nicknamed AI and The Answer, is a professional basketball player. He is an All-Star point/shooting guard for the Philadelphia 76ers franchise of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A ten-year veteran at the age of 31, he is considered by many to be among the greatest guards of his generation and one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the game. In 2003, Iverson was ranked 53rd on SLAM Magazine's Top 75 NBA players of all time. He was also voted NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (2005)

- E. Jay Mathews vision began in 1980 when his best friend “Hitman” Tommy Hearns won the Welterweight Championship. That victory launched a spectacular career, and also created the entertainment vision for Mathews. Capitalizing on his experience working with the legendary boxer, Mathews formed Bigger Than Life Entertainment. BTL has produced a variety of major national events such as Acapulco World Music Festival, the closing ceremonies for the Atlanta Olympic Games, Peace Fest 97 (NY & LA/Pay Per View) and several 2006 NFL Superbowl 30 after parties and events in the host city, E. Jay’s hometown - Detroit, Michigan

Exclusive VIP invitation only, champagne reception hosted by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will include a presentation of the key to the city to 8- time consecutive NBA All Star player Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers. There will also be a special salute to the Joe and Gervin Maloof (Owners of the Sacramento Kings, The Palms Hotel Las Vegas and Wells Fargo Bank) for their instrumental role in bringing the 56^th annual NBA All-Star Game to Las Vegas.
